Hi, I’m Courtney Burnett, and I’ve been doing photography since high school (2017). I didn’t start shooting people professionally until my sophomore year of college. In college, I majored in Graphic Design and Marketing at Friends University. Design has allowed me to be more creative and aware of different editing apps, which has made me a better photographer. Along with taking design classes, I also took photography courses that helped me learn more about perspective and viewpoint.

My specialty as a photographer is knowing how to communicate with others and coming up with unique poses! A big thing I hear from clients is, “Sorry, I’m awkward,” or “I’m not really sure what to do.” A huge part of photography is helping my clients feel confident in their own skin and opening them up so their true selves shine through in their photos! My main focus is making sure everyone feels comfortable and has fun. When those things happen, the posing comes naturally.

I love all types of photography—senior, family, kids, couples, engagement, wedding, sports, maternity, and newborn sessions. I can do it all! My favorite sessions are themed mini shoots. When a certain season or holiday comes around, I’ll announce themed mini sessions, so make sure to follow me on all social media accounts so you don’t miss out!

I’m a photographer based in Wichita, KS, and I typically stay in this area. But if you live farther away and would love a shoot with me, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I’m sure we can work something out. I mostly do sessions around sunset during weekdays because the lighting is perfect, and I’m also available all day on weekends.
